Caregiver

CG · Mommy · Daddy

A caregiver, often shortened to “CG”, is the nurturing partner in a caregiver/little dynamic. They might go by Mommy, Daddy, Auntie, Papa or any name that fits — and their role is to offer structure, patience and gentle care to their little.

What caregivers actually do

It’s less about authority and more about attentiveness: tucking someone in, setting cosy routines, offering praise and reassurance, keeping their little safe and looked after. Good caregiving is patient, consistent and deeply kind.

It’s a give, not just a take

Many caregivers describe the role as its own kind of comfort — the joy of nurturing someone who trusts them completely. It’s a relationship of mutual care, not a one-way street.

Common questions

Is a caregiver the same as a Dom?

Related but distinct. Caregiving centres on nurture and safety rather than strict dominance, though the two can overlap for some couples.
