ABDL

ABDL stands for Adult Baby / Diaper Lover. It’s an umbrella term for a diverse community of consenting adults who find comfort, stress relief or intimacy in some mix of age regression, wearing diapers, and gentle caregiving. For many people it’s soothing and grounding; for some it’s sensual; for most it’s simply a soft, private part of who they are.

AB, DL, and everything in between

The “AB” side leans toward the headspace of being little — blankets, plushies, bedtime stories, being looked after. The “DL” side is about enjoying diapers themselves, and doesn’t necessarily involve any age play at all. Plenty of people sit somewhere in the middle, and all of it is valid.

Is ABDL a kink or a comfort thing?

It can be either, both, or neither — and it changes from person to person and day to day. Many find it deeply non-sexual and calming, like a weighted blanket for the mind. Others experience it as part of their intimate life. There’s no single “right” way to be ABDL.
