Dry Nursing & Wet Nursing

In the world of adult nursing, “dry nursing” means nursing without lactation, while “wet nursing” involves milk. Both are common, both create closeness, and neither is more “real” than the other.

Dry nursing

Most adult nursing is dry — the comfort, ritual and bond come from the closeness itself, not from milk. It’s the easiest and most common way couples enjoy an ANR.

Wet nursing and induced lactation

Some partners choose to induce lactation so they can wet nurse. It takes patience and commitment, and it’s a deeply personal decision — never a requirement for a loving ANR.

Common questions

Is dry nursing less intimate than wet nursing?

Not at all. For most couples the intimacy is in the connection, not the milk.
